What you cannot miss in December!

What you cannot miss in December!

“What you cannot miss in December” and our ultimate agenda is back. Thanksgiving is over, Black Friday too… Finally, it is Christmas time! And, needless to say, we are soooooo excited. Lights, Christmas carols and red decorations everywhere. Our favourite celebration of the years is coming and helpBarcelona has selected for you many Christmassy plans.

“You better watch out, you better not cry
You better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town…”

We know there is still a few weeks before Christmas, but we are so excited that we need some Christmas song to create the right atmosphere. Have you already decorated your room and your shared flat? It may be a great activity to spend time with your flatmates, isn’t it? A shared flat offers you the chance to spend every day in a different a special way. We remember for example of the cookies’ evenings, when we used to gather and cook biscuits with stars and spruce shapes… Or the tea time, when there was a light cinnamon scent all over the living room

Such nice memories! Do not miss the chance to create yours. As helpBarcelona always remembers you, when you look for an accommodation, check the shared flats. They are a great solution to share expenses and spend great moments with other students or young workers from all over the world. Imagine living with people from many different countries, you could discover new traditions and make them yours, too!

“He's making a list, he's checkin' it twice
He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice
Santa Claus is coming to town…”

We know we are rambling so… Keep calm and let’s begin with our Christmassy agenda!

FOOD

Brunch

Not only Christmas. December is much more. Winter, the first snow, holidays, New Years’ resolutions list, diet. Well, let’s skip the last one ahahah. Here a list of interesting cafes and restaurant to have a tasty brunch in Barcelona. Our favourite one? Mmm, maybe the Picnic; it is such an unconventional brunch! This is our little treat before the Christmas dinner…

Panettone

Pandoro or Panettone: that is the question. At least for many Italian children and adults, too. helpBarcelona has selected for you one of the best bakeries to taste this traditional Italian “cake” (sorry, we know it is not a cake… it is panettone). Do you have an Italian flatmate? You should go and taste it: he can judge better than we can.

ART

Muestra de Cine Italiano de Barcelona

We have not done this on purpose, but Italy and Italian culture and traditions are the topic of our agenda. After a sweat slice of panettone, we can go to the exhibition that will let us discover the Italian cinema. Italy is always a good idea. We are not biased, we promise.

Conciertos de Navidad

It is December and Christmas concerts must be in our agenda. Barcelona offers many different programmes that will entertain you and your friends during the whole month. Live the Christmas atmosphere to the fullest. Here the Palace of Catalan Music programme, but there are many other concerts in Barcelona.

 EVENTS AND PLANS

Christmas markets

We have Nordic plans for your December in Barcelona. The first one are the Christmas markets. Lights, Glühwein, decorations, Christmas trees, Gingerbread and many other sweet treats… We could spend hours in these markets; they are just so Christmassy, we had to include them in our agenda. Let’s turn into Christmas elves!

Ice Skating

Are you ready for ice-skating? This is a great winter plan, isn’t it? So many questions, sorry. Even in the warm Spain there are many ice-skating rinks. They may not be beautiful as the one in Central Park, but they are perfect to spend an afternoon with your friends. Moreover, a little bit of sport after the Christmas dinner is always a good idea.

“He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
You better be good for goodness sake…”

Have you saved all these plans? We cannot wait to eat panettone, have a walk in Christmas markets and ice skating with our friends.

“You better watch out, you better not cry
You better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town…”

Just remember to decorate your Christmas tree and your shared flat. Are you still looking for a cosy home to decorate? helpBarcelona is here to offer you the best housing solution ever. Shared flats in the city centre and an international environment. What else can you ask for?

Stay tuned for other entertaining blog posts and… see you next month…
